Gossip columnist Mehmet Şehirli's article (in Gözcü Gazetesi) says that Oriental belly-dancer Asena is trying to advance her career via too many different paths...

"To prove my point... firstly, she appeared as a jurist on a dance contest program. Then, just the other day, she showed up in a mini skirt with
percushionist Burhan Öçal at a Fashion Fair -- promoting Lotus blue-jeans.
But people who came to see the fashions were distracted
by the frikik (free-kick) that Asena repeatedly gave.
The young oriental dancer is giving frikik (free-kick) knowingly in order to get in the headlines...She's not making good choices to advance her career, she's just thinking about earning money.
And what's worse is that her antics are being reported in the media --
even on TV news bulletins. The question is,
what is the importance of Asena's soiled underwear to us?"
