Translation

The siblings wanted to escape from the old witch as soon as possible. One day, when the witch wasn't being careful, Gretel [took her by surprise and] threw her into the oven. [The literal translation of the previous sentence is more like: 'Gretel, benefiting from the inattention of the witch one day, threw her into the oven...' -- which is an example of the sometimes unusual manner of Turkish expression...]
