Figen Han's Hit Single?
Han lent her voluptuous figure and her seksi speaking voice to promote this two-sided instrumental 'single' in 1977. a 650 KB MP3 file. a 550 KB MP3 file ![]() Click! Thanks to zombibaba.blogspot.com | Notable Figen Han Movies: Son Söz (The Last Word) 1979 -- an erotik adventure directed by Yavuz Figenli -- which starred Figen Han, Tevfik Şen, and Harika Öncü. Note: You may recall seeing Harika Öncü in Öyle Bir Kadın Ki (A Woman Like That). Son Söz is a movie that comes in at least two flavours -- full-strength and way watered-down...The oppressive religious-right Turkish censoring board, RTÜK, decrees that Turks can only watch extremely watered-down versions of such films on the state-controlled D-Smart Satellite TV Platform -- which provides (what has to be laughingly-called) the Yeşilçam XXX fee-for-view channel. A much more appropriate (and accurate) name for this heavily-censored channel would be the Yeşilçam ATC (Adolescent Titillation Control) channel, in our opinion. Still, it's where we first saw Son Söz...So you can imagine our surprise when we accessed Son Söz from our private Turkish movies-data base (to select a 'suitable' film-clip for this article) and found a potpourri of scenes (and even two very lively cast-members) that had been summarily chopped out of the To plot-summary of Son Söz starring Figen Han, with pics and

Multi-lingual model, movie actress, recording artist, and writer... of French nationality -- who claimed to be the grandchild of the Ottoman, Haydar Pasha. The claim was probably a foxy publicity ploy concocted by her manager, Erkan Özerman, and her husband at the time, French photographer Jean Yves Haydar Christine appeared in just two Turkish movies -- and in both films she spoke (and sang/danced) in what sounded like fluent (slightly accented) Turkish. Her first Turkish movie, made in 1980, was Sarısın Tehlike (Trouble in Blonde) -- starring Cüneyt Arkın and a bevy of well-known Turkish actors of the time including Hadi Çaman, Aynur Akarsu, Yüksel Gözen, Gülten Ceylan -- and Metin Serezli in a dual role. Her second Turkish film was Bedel (The Price), a drama made in 1983 -- directed by Melih Gülgen. Its star-studded cast was led by Kadir İnanır, Bahar Öztan, Ekrem Bora, Sevda Ferdağ and, naturally, Christine Haydar. The caption on Bedel's poster warns, "Everything has a price. You've either paid or you will pay." |
Take your pick... Ajda Pekkan and Christine Haydar sing (and dance to) Pet'r Oil (Loving On Petrol). More gossipy tidbits about all of Christine Haydar's movies (not just her Turkish films), her multi-lingual musical recordings, and her books (with more pictures)... coming soon.
