A Movie Goof: Early in the film, Zeynep and Ömercik run away from home and set out on the train to Istanbul...As the two young actors discuss plans, the movie audience sees the background scenery moving right to left outside the train car window, at first ... but then later, in an obvious editorial mistake, the scenery is seen moving left to right, out that same window.

A Native-Turkish Movie Lover's Comment: "This is one of the best movies of 1973 -- a joy to watch. Note that the film contains numerous (uncredited) musical clips belonging to the Raymond Lefevre orchestra." Thanks to sinematurk.com.

Plot Summary: A woman (Bahar Erdeniz) is falsely accused of adultery and jeered out of town, leaving her adolescent daughter (Zeynep Değirmencioğlu) behind. Trying to forget the past, Bahar becomes a successful model in the big city, but one day her now-budding mid-teen-age daughter shows up on her doorstep. Bahar rejects Zeynep at first, but once they are reconciled, the daughter concocts a vengeful (and deadly) plan to expose her mother's false accuser.
Plot Highlights: Her husband's 'best friend' (Mesut Engin) wants Bahar for himself. So, when the husband is called away for a late night business meeting, Mesut takes the opportunity to feed Bahar a 'Mickey Finn.'
After she passes out, he poses her in bed with him -- so that her husband may see them upon his return from the business meeting. (Surely, Mesut reasons, that will cause the happy couple to divorce -- which will give him the chance he's been longing for.) During husband's return trip from the meeting, he is injured in a car accident -- and when he is brought home bruised and bleeding -- he finds his drugged wife posed in bed with his friend. The sight sends husband into a frenzy and he commits suicide... off-stage we hear a single pistol shot. The suicide was more than Mesut bargained for, so he stands aside as Bahar is falsely of accused of adultery, and jeered out of town -- leaving her young daughter behind. To be continued...
